This beautiful segmented bowl is composed of 16 rings.  Each ring contains 6 to 26 layers of wood.   The stairstep effect is achieved by twisting each ring slightly before gluing the stack together.  The wall thickness is 3/8″ or less.

The rim and base of the bowl are made of wenge, a dense wood native to Africa.  Walnut, maple, walnut veneer, and maple veneer are also used in this bowl.  The bowl is finished with multiple coats of durable polyurethane and has a lovely glossy sheen.

Dimensions:  11″ wide at top rim, 5″ high.

Use and Care Instructions:  Dust and fingerprints can be removed with a soft cloth.  Do not use the bowl to contain anything that retains moisture.
