This lidded stave urn is turned from curly cherry, figured maple, and dyed veneer.  The knob on the cherry lid is turned from a solid piece of ebony and is adorned with an amber-colored Swarovski crystal.

Cherry is Ted’s favorite wood, so it is not surprising that he chose it for this special item.  The cherry in this urn has darkened over time, taking on a rich hue that brings out the beautiful figuring in the maple.

The interior capacity is 35 cubic inches, which will hold the cremains (ashes) of a pet that weighed up to approximately 35 pounds.
