This open bowl utilizes both stave construction and segmented techniques. The body of the bowl is made up of staves of butternut and purpleheart, carefully cut and glued together. The segmented inner ring is made of maple and butternut. The base of the bowl is butternut. The rim at the top and bottom of the bowl is purpleheart.

The bowl is protected by multiple coats of a durable Danish oil finish, waxed and buffed to a satin sheen. The natural beauty of the wood is enhanced by the low-luster finish.

Dimensions:  8 inches at it widest point, 6-1/4 inch opening, and 3-1/2 inches tall.

Use and care:  Dust and fingerprints can be removed with a soft cloth. Please do not use this bowl to hold anything that retains moisture.
