The body of this wooden shorebird is turned from spalted beech. The legs and bill are fashioned from a 1/4″ hardwood dowel.

We use a durable Danish oil finish to protect the wood and provide a satin sheen.

This plump little bird measures 6″ from head to tail. The spalted wood has a lot of contrast and figuring on the bird’s tummy.
