Spalted Alaska Birch Bowl
This open bowl is turned from a piece of spalted Alaska birch, harvested locally in our town of Homer, Alaska. The spalting provides interest, color, and contrast to the birch.
We finished the bowl with multiple coats of food-safe walnut oil. This bowl can safely be used for foods, although prolonged exposure to moisture is bad for any wooden item including bowls. You can safely use it for a salad, popcorn, or as a fruit bowl.
Dimensions: 8-3/4″ wide, 3-5/8″ tall.
Use and Care Instructions: Hand wash this bowl if you use it to hold food items. Dry promptly with a soft cloth. Do not put it in the dishwasher or let it come into prolonged contact with liquids.
