Yelloweye Rockfish Trivet-- Original Design by Ted
Back in Stock!
Protect your table or countertop from hot dishes with this rockfish trivet, crafted from cherry with yellowheart and ebony eyes. Patterned after the yelloweye rockfish commonly found in Alaska, the trivet has eyes on both sides.
In a meticulous and time-consuming process, 68 grooves are individually cut in the ¼” thick interlocking pieces that form the body of the fish. I use a bandsaw and drum sander to shape the head and tail sections, followed by hand finish work.
The trivet is protected with multiple coats of a durable penetrating oil finish.
Dimensions: 12-1/8″ long, 6″ wide, 7/8″ high.
Use and Care Instructions: Crafted to last a lifetime, the trivet can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and dried with a soft towel. Do not put in dishwasher or immerse in water.
