This lidded stave bowl could also be referred to as a lidded box. It is turned from morado and butternut. The lid is butternut and has a morado knob.
Tapered staves are made with a compound miter cut. Both the sawblade and miter gauge are at an angle for each side of the stave.
This bowl is protected by multiple coats of a durable Danish oil finish, waxed and buffed to a satin sheen.
Woods Used: Morado and Butternut.
Dimensions: 8″ wide and 5″ tall with lid in place. The bowl opening is 5-1/2″ across.
Use and care: Dust and fingerprints can be removed with a soft cloth. Please do not use this bowl to hold anything that retains moisture.
