This unique segmented bowl is composed of 17 rings. Each ring contains 6 to 45 layers of wood. The wall thickness is 1/4″ or less. Check our Blog for a description and photos of the construction technique used to create the bowl.
Woods used in this bowl include butternut, walnut, padauk, dyed veneer, phoebe, cherry, maple, bloodwood, purpleheart, lacewood, spalted alder, and figured maple.
Dimensions: 11-3/8″ top diameter, 2-7/8″ diameter at the base, and 3-1/2″ tall.
The bowl is finished with multiple coats of durable Danish oil, waxed and buffed to a satin sheen.
Use and Care Instructions: Dust and fingerprints can be removed with a soft cloth. Do not use the bowl to contain anything that retains moisture.
