"Seasons" Dizzy Bowl
This bowl is a one-of-a-kind Dizzy Bowl with a segmented rim. It is constructed of 18 rings laminated together starting at the next-to-the-top ring. Careful positioning of each ring produces the pattern that appears in the finished bowl. The segmented rim, made of figured maple and dyed veneer, was added last.
The wall thickness of this bowl is about ¼ of an inch.
The woods used in this bowl are maple, cherry, bubinga, dyed veneer, and SpectraPly, which is a hardwood formed from laminated pigmented layers of birch veneer.
