This Vertex mechanical pencil turned from spalted maple is handy in the shop. Of course Ted uses one. It is perfect for drafting, sketching, marking lumber, or writing. It is also a useful item in the garage, greenhouse, potting shed, on the boat or in the RV — anywhere a sturdy pencil with a heavy-duty lead might come in handy.

The end and nib caps of the pencil have a faceted, hexagonal design that keeps the pencil from rolling off onto the floor. Inside the end cap you’ll find an eraser and lead sharpener. A smooth click mechanism makes it easy to advance the lead.

The pencil is packaged in a plastic storage tube and comes with a set of five extra 2B 2mm leads.
